Refund Policy

We want customers on TheOddsAPI because the product works for them - not because they got locked into a charge they regret. Our refund policy is designed to make it easy to get your money back if the product isn't what you needed.

7-day full refund window

If you subscribe to Professional or Business and decide within 7 days of the first charge that the Service isn't right for your build, email us at hello@theoddsapi.com and we will refund the charge in full, no questions asked. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within one business day of the request.

Your API key remains active through the end of the current billing period so you have time to migrate any code that was calling it.

Cancellations after 7 days

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Stripe's customer portal or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future charges. The unused portion of the current billing period is not automatically refunded but you retain access to the Service through the end of the paid period. If there is an unusual circumstance that makes a partial refund fair, email us and we will review the request in good faith.

Business trial reverts to Professional

If you were on a 30-day Business trial that reverted to Professional and you decide within 7 days of the revert that Professional is not the right tier for you, email us and we will refund the Professional charge in full and cancel the subscription.

Charged in error

If you were charged in error - for example, you were double-billed, charged after cancellation, or charged for a subscription you did not authorize - email us at hello@theoddsapi.com. We process error refunds within one business day of the request, no back-and-forth required.

Free tier

The Free tier has no charges and no refunds. You can stop using your Free API key at any time.

Enterprise agreements

Enterprise contracts are governed by the written agreement signed by both parties. Refund terms in your signed agreement supersede this page.

How to request a refund

Email hello@theoddsapi.com from the email address on your subscription. Include the subject line "Refund request" and a one-line reason (or none - we do not require an explanation for 7-day-window or error refunds). We will confirm receipt and process the refund within one business day.
